We have just released our version of the M-42 Jump Jacket on our web store. This jacket is one of the most sought after WWII military jackets and in good condition fetches a lot of money. Rough morning or early afternoon since none of us was up before noon.  We had lunch at Bape Cafe and took a stroll in Harajuku towards The Ice Cream Store where we ran into some friends.  Small world!  Here is a quick summary of our day:

There is nothing like a good Bathing Ape party in Tokyo.  Their 1oth year Anniversary Party went down as one of the best parties of all time and tonights party came close to matching it.  The party was in the same location: WOMB and featured performances from Ape Sounds artist Verbal, The Teriyaki Boyz and Pharrell.  The DJs were DJ Non, DJ Nigo, Chad Hugo and Cipha Sounds who also handled Pharrell’s set.  Now Cipha Sounds for those who don’t know is one of the best DJs in the game.  You can catch him on MTV where he is a VJ but mainly on Hot 97 in NYC or on Sirius Satellite Radio(Shade 45) where he does the morning show.  Cipha is way too busy to DJ parties like he used to but we highly recommend you go out of your way and catch him play if he comes to a town near you!  If you live in NYC also make sure to catch his comedy show.

We are lucky to be able to travel to 2 of our favorite cities in 1 week! We left Paris for a quick stop in Los Angeles(thanks to Henessy) and just arrived in Tokyo for a Bathing Party to celebrate the opening of their new Shibuya store. We hope to see a lot of our fans tonight at WOMB and if the vibe is right we might just let them hear something brand new!!! Here are a few pictures from Paris which we wanted to share, we’ll post pictures from the party tomorrow.

It’s too bad we’re leaving Paris tomorrow morning because it’s been a great trip where we got to see a lot of great things and meet up with a few friends.  We also were here to do a little business with Louis Vuitton which will bring us back to Paris in January but we can’t talk about that quit yet!  We went to visit the work shop and showroom of Domeau & Pérès for a special upcoming project which we can’t talk about either.  Domeau & Pérès is an incredible company which primarily designs and makes customs furniture and works with world famous artists such as Marc Newsom.  Make sure to check out their web site and look at their work (don’t skip the “sur Mesure” tab).  Domeau & Pérès Custom Fiat 500 (the original “Smart” car)   Marc Newsom Chair: ”Swiss Army” Chair     

We attended the LV show tonight in Paris which was amazing.  Daft Punk were in the sound booth in charge of the music and everyone came out for the last show of Paris Fashion Week.  The show was held at the Louvre.

We went to “Les Puces” flea market today where you can find the best french antiques in town.  We were looking for vintage Louis Vuitton trunks and we found a few nice shops.



 

Stopped by Hermes yesterday to pick up my new travel bag.  Hermes is a world famous luxury goods company originally known for it’s leather goods including it’s saddles and famous silk scarves.  This purple croc bag is a “Haut A Courroie” which is the original Birkin bag.  This bag is a custom piece hand made in the Paris shop.  The key chain was made by Jacob.

We’re in Paris for Fashion Week and will attend the Louis Vuitton show on Sunday.  Upon arriving we discovered a great new way of transportation in this fantastic city.  Even though bicycles have been around for a long time, Paris now has bicycles for rent on every other corner.  They are basically stations where with a credit card you rent the bike and can drop it off at any other station.  It’s great to stay in shape, cuts down on the pollution and the city must be making a bunch of money.

 On Set:

Kaws painted these Smurfs(or Schtroumpfs in french) and sent down a few other toys to Pharrell’s Miami apartment.  The paintings still have to be unwrapped but will be up soon.
