this album transcends any boundaries of genre into a class of its own. the sound is overwhelmingly fresh and bold. what a triumph for N*E*R*D - congratulations, and thank you for staying true to your unique sound. i don’t see how you could possibly beat this album, but i know you will.

So…..I have never posted here so I thought I’d share my “N.E.R.D experience”. As someone who just got introduced to them by my friend, I was REALLY excited that we were going to go to Jimmy Kimmel and their autograph signing tonight. Today was my Birthday and I just wanted to do this with my girls who are big N.E.R.D fans. I thought it would be a great day where we could make great memories, and we made memories alright, but great isn’t exactly the word I’d use.
I’d like to start off by saying that I think that Pharrell, Chad, and Shae were great and I know that they personally had NOTHING to do with my experience, BUT they need to know that people that they have working for them are disrespectful to their fans/supporters. Seeing as this is my first time seeing N.E.R.D to be honest the experience we had would not make me feel any desire to put effort into seeing them again.
The day started off with us getting to Jimmy Kimmel which was pretty fun. The show was super high energy and I loved it. I mean we had to deal with the “very enthusiastic” fans who thought pushing people which is cool (side-bar….it’s not), but all in all it was good times.
We get to the autograph signing and there were A TON of people there and we were toward the back of the line. While waiting they passed out papers for you to write your name so they could give it to the guys so they could personalize your CD when signing it. One of N.E.R.D’s people also came and talked to us and told us that as of now there was NO photography, but since we were at the back of the line they’d probably take pics with us, she also said if you asked them and the guys (N.E.R.D) said YES, then it would be cool to take a picture with them.
We actually ended up being the last people in line and we get to the table and the lady working just threw the paper with my name on the floor and I picked it up and handed it to her AGAIN and she just looked at me and threw it on the table. I got to say hi to Chad and he shook my hand. I asked Pharrell since we were the last people in line and it was my Birthday if we (my girls and I) could get a pic with them and as he was saying YES the lady said NO and that we had to move along. So they sign my CD cover and the guy at the table basically threw it at me (not cool) and as I was walking away Shae told me to stand over there and wait so we could get out picture. The lady and security guard told me I had to leave and I explained to them what Shae said and then she threatened to call security on me (Are you serious?)and told me that they have more people in line….um we were THE LAST PEOPLE IN LINE (Again, are you serious?). So we walked away and left.
Basically I can see where some people might think I’m being petty, and it’s cool, you’re entitled to your opinion, but I’m appalled that I was and my girls were treated the way that we were. DON’T disrespect me and don’t make me feel like I don’t matter. I work in the industry and know how these things go, but I just wanted to have a fun night with my girls on my Birthday and instead I went home feeling some kind of way.
As someone who was just being exposed to you (N.E.R.D), it amazes me that you could have people that work for you that would treat a “fan” or supporter of yours the way that I was treated. We (the fans/supporters) are the reason these people have jobs, and I think they should think about that before they want to go about treating people a certain way. That was supposed to be my “moment” and someone took that “moment” away from me, and that’s not cool!!!!
I just thought you guys should know what’s going on. Again, no hard feeling towards you (Chad, Pharrell, and Shae), just hard feelings about the situation!!!!

Got it last friday and it’s spinnin’ non stop. It’s much better than ‘Fly or Die’ which was a bit dissapointing after ‘In Search Of’.

I bought my cd yesterday on my break, i went all the way to VA to buy my CD (It was the closest to my job) But i’m so loving the CD “Love Bomb” puts my brain to work i just space out and my brain goes into space. I love you guys, now the next stop is D.C. I’ll be waiting………

cd, is siick. performance, ya’ll rocked it hands down it was worth waiting for!! cd signing, you guys were awesome!! i’m so thankful i got to meet you guys. though, your handlers weren’t very friendly it’s understandable they have a job to do, but they basically shoved me while i was walking up to the table. i’m sorry if i sound ungrateful i’m not. it was was very disheartening to feel “shuffled” through when i’ve waited all day to see you guys. nothing against you guys at all though. LOVE YOU!! KEEP DOING WHAT YA’LL DO!! COME BACK TO LA!!

If I’m honest, expectations where abit low after listening to Everyone Nose a while back, and I still dont like it much, so after being abit wary and skeptical from that and then hearing Spaz which was an improvment but still wasnt up there with the previous albums. So after listening to the whole album over and over, I absoloutly love it! Favorite songs being Time For Some Action, Windows, Anti Matter (The instuments in Anti Matter are just unbelieveable and is my #1 favorite on the album and really really hope that will be released), Sooner Or Later, Happy, Love Bomb and You Know What. Love them all really bar Everyone Nose and Spaz.
Now all I’m wondering is, why on earth was Everyone nose released as the first single? I’ll never understand, the rest of the album is a million and one times better.
Also the artwork in the poster booklet is amazing, perfectly suited to the music on the album.
All in all, I would definatly end by calling it a masterpiece.
But I can only imagine how the album would sound live, and thats all I can do… Imagine! If you made it with the ideology of how it would sound live, shouldn’t you be giving us a piece of the action and not just the US? If you think you can just give us Laser Gun and expect us to be happy you have another things coming, lol. Living in the England and far from London, I wont get the chance to go, its really not fair and I just beg, PLEASE TOUR ENGLAND, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!

i would because i love the rhythms you have set out. my favourite songs are you know what, everyone nose and yeah you.
just the opening is brilliant enough - it is a real story album that takes me through a lot of lifes’ experiences.
