WHERE THE FUCK IS CHAD???
I wanna see an N*E*R*D show, not just a Pharrell & Shae show.
I don’t mean any disrespect whatsoever to P, Shae or the backing band, but I thought N*E*R*D was 3 + back up band, not 2 + back up band.
Also, someone could at least update the blog saying where Chad is or why he’s missing at least. It just seems like they just forgot he’s a member and/or disregarded him completely. I’m only griping because I love N*E*R*D and The Neptunes (together or solo). I mean Chad produced Kenna’s “New Sacred Cow”. That album is underrated and a classic. Reissue???
But anyways, great pictues, nice to see that you guys are having a fun time and I hope to see you guys at the Arizona show and hopefully the full N*E*R*D will be in effect!

seriously since NERD started they’ve always been three..but it’s normal for chad not to be there lol
we had a treat…a rarity if you will, for the first half of this year lol.
Chad being at every show was something unheard of lol…
so no they haven’t forgot chad…but chad got sh*t to do lol
i swear people act like pharrell and shae lock chad up in a basement like “you only perform when we tell you to”

Lol whether he’s there or not..show must go on….they’ve been doing it that way for 6 or 7 years now lmao….seriously, just having Pharrell and Shae..is the norm.

That was a good answer in regards to Chad. Chad was never committed to the road and in the history of N*E*R*D touring he has mostly been absent. This year, Chad made the effort to come out more and had a good time but at the end of the day the show must go on, if N*E*R*D had to wait on Chad to tour there would be no tour.
I pull alot of things from this blog. In following it I understand the vast scale of people that N*E*R*D touch. I also pull in the importance of the live show. Along with that I see the dedication it takes to devote yourself fully to promoting and spreading the music you believe in. All unsigned guys like me feel that burn to be opportunistic and plug themselves…sometimes we would be willing to walk in traffic if we could get hit by the car of someone who would believe in our music and change our life…
But after following this blog I feel inspired to start my own tour and build myself, instead of waiting for someone else to do it…
N*E*R*D inspires me.

The Cool & BBC/IC, thanks a lot for responding.
Both N*E*R*D & Neptunes-wise, we see him absent all the time and as a result, I felt that the “Neptunes sound” drastically changed. Even the credits on Seeing Sounds is predominately Pharell. It’s still absolutely great, but has a different feel to it. I hope I’m not the only one that feels that way and someone else notices too.
Is Chad busy with something else or other projects, mostly a studio-guy & not about the road, is it because he has a family, a mix of everything, etc.? What does he do? That was one of those answers I never really got and never could find an answer to. He just kind of disappeared and forgot to leave a note saying that he’ll be gone for a bit.
Chad has a wife and kids. If he was my husband I wouldn’t want him gone all the time, so we should just be happy we get to see him when we do. His kids are like 8 and 10 so of course they are his priority.
As for him not doing as much production, he has done some solo work under the name Chase Chad.
