I’m a 18 year old first time voter. Here in Virginia Beach(Green Run)it was crazy. I stood out in the rain since about 5 o’ clock, and had voted by 6:30. The line of voters wrapped around the entire high school where the voting took place. I was one of the first 30 people to vote. I feel like i was born in the perfect year, because this is an historic election. Every vote counts, and I know I did my part to make a change.

This was my first time voting. I got up at 6:00, went down the street, signed in, and voted for Obama/Biden. I must say, I feel apart of the US now. It feels amazing knowing that my vote decides who will be our next president. It’s so weird, but so unbelievably cool.

i voted on 10/29 here in atlanta, fulton county.
i was a first time voter and kind of scared to vote early b/c some counties in ga had been having problems. but it worked out well. the campaign office here provided transportation for the auc, took us to the polling place. TWO AND A HALF HOURS and but i was so worth it. and i got my “i’m a georgia voter” sticker. it’s on my laptop now:D
    i baracked my vote!

I’m from Germany and all I can say is I’m staying up tonight with my family to see the history in the making.Everyone here is excited and were gonna celebrate for and with Obama.Obama for president is where my VOTE is going.Alot of German people also want Obama to win.Was in the gym today and was talking about how I want Obama to win tonight. This old lady who is like in her mid 50/60′s? said in German excited voice to me :” OBAMA ALL THE WAY I WANT OBAMA TO WIN!” I high fived her and we both agreed OBAMA IS THE ONE TO TRUST AND VOTE FOR!
For all the people who are voting today you are doing me a big favor because I can’t vote(Germany) but I know you are passing my voting for Obama.
    Thnak you.

i’m from germany and this election got me some sleepless nights, watching the dabates and stuff…(this whole timezone-thing is fucked up haha)
more than 80% of the europeans would vote for Obama, but it’s on you!

  13. LoveBomb November 4th, 2008 12:34 pm

Yo, I really hope that Virginia becomes an Obama state!! I am about to call my aunts and cousins right now to make sure that they are voting!

The line was way too long yesterday here in Cleveland, so I got up EARLY this morning and went to my normal voting precinct. I’m glad I did. I was #9 in the line and only had to wait 40, just long enough for the polls to open and was in and out pretty fast.

I’m really excited and hoping Obama will win this election, I believe he has Ohio, one of the battleground states. It will be very scary if McCain wins, especially with the thought that Palin would be only a heartbeat away from being President. I shudder at the thought.

You should title this particular blog, Time to Vote, Time For Some Action

21 and a first time voter in the general elections. Voted in DC last week since I go to college in FL. The lines were crazy but thankfully since I was doing absentee and had all my stuff I was in and out. I am very excited to be a part of history.

  18. Terri November 4th, 2008 1:42 pm

I’m in Columbus and I’m driving an hour to my home town to go vote. I’ll wait as long as it takes to cast my ballot. It seems that everyone in the World (but some people here in America) want Obama to win. I’m praying for his victory and his safety.

If you’re in America please go vote!!!

  21. denise_islove November 4th, 2008 2:37 pm

I reside in Central California and this was my first time voting. I’ve been so excited for this Presidental election for the last two years. I’m so proud to be apart of this incredible history in the marking election. Last night I wasn’t able to sleep because I was so anxious to vote this morning! I arrived at 8AM at the local community center in my town and waited for about twenty mins. to vote! I really was tempted to take a picture but I thought that was real cheesy! I am a proud Obama supporter and will be planning where to move if McCain gets elected. Paris? I couldn’t live with the fact if something does happen to McCain that Palin will become our President. I’d rather have Castro or Chavez as my President.

  22. denise_islove November 4th, 2008 2:39 pm

I voted today in downtown miami (OBAMA) …there were only 37 early voting places open for the last 2 weeks here in miami and the lines were easily 3 to 4 hours everywhere. Today there were close to 1,100 polling places open. Start to finish it only took me about an hour and a half…granted i was in line at 7:15am but its looking promising. Everyone get out there and make a difference….

  25. JAHJAH November 4th, 2008 4:33 pm

I voted!! 2nd time voting in a general election. Voted for Obama/Biden 08!! :) I only had to wait in line for an hour, it wasn’t too bad. It was well worth the wait. I wanted to skip back home after voting. I felt JUST THAT GOOD. :)

  30. TheWorldMayNeverKnowWhy November 4th, 2008 8:37 pm

    Feeling Obamagized!

  31. milo mel November 4th, 2008 9:08 pm

Wow this is an exciting day!! unfortunately I can’t vote because I am British but My mum lives in Miami and is representing.

Obama is a great man either way even if he lost (which he will NOT) no one could say a bad word about him apart from the fact the he doesn’t like ice cream! lol

it’s nearly 1.30am here and I am getting tired but it looking good for Obama at the moment!!
