X-Wing Fighter
We love Star Wars but this is taking it to the next level! Taking a couple of Parisian Metro tickets and making them into a X-Wing fighter seems like a lot of work:

For a step by step breakdown hit the jump. Let’s see if any of our French friends can do it!

thats not fair!!!
im not french, but have a few tickets lying around, and wanted to try.
figured out i needed 2 to create 1 fighter, and a hell big job cutting.
now i dont want to anymore.
UM YIKES!
i made one – it took about an hour… but i cheated and used a bit of tape ): because i didn’t understand the instruction:
“Here, all the legs of the fuselage have be slided through the little rectangular cracks and the legs interior to the wings are folded inwards. For the middle leg which corresponds to the cockpit but right under, fold it back inside like the others. (I know, you can’t see anything, sorry!) Watch out, it’s very fragile!”
and i have no idea about plane terminology, so didn’t get a lot of it and i’ve never ever seen even one of the star wars movies (no shit!)
i used two bits of cardboard 30mm x 60mm instaed of 65mm as well… oops!
so now i have a tiny little origami spaceship…
i can send it to you if you want – i don’t even know what an “x-wing fighter” is! if i had paid more attention to it’s name, i wouldn’t have taped the wings together! no “x-wings” on mine! but it still looks like a little space age plane… i like the little hexagons at the back (:
i’ll have to make a little tiny box for it if i do send it!
YAYA!!!! i’ve mastered the x-wing fighter with just cardboard!maybe now i’ll watch the movies – just to know what i’ve made!!!
haha, who woulda thought the ancient art of origami would lead me to being a star wars fan!! funny.
but i have to say, don’t agree with the whole semiotic/symbolic ideology of whit = good and black = evil… but pharrell does look sweet in all white! but he’s dark – so it’s still balanced!! (obsessed with colour/tonal balance – or balance in general!)
but i might like it – i’ve resisted star wars til now! (although whwn i was young – i was not allowed to see them – they were ‘too violent’…)
anyway, love to send you one!!! i’ll just send to the address on the seeing sounds album – i’ll mark it ‘fragile’ and send it in a little box – in a box – in a box!!!!
love love love xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo
ps. the dude that worked out how to make these is a genius!!!
the first time i made it – i fuct up – but still came up with a plane (i had no idea wha an x-fighter plane looked like – but now i do! ironic really – considering i’ve never seen a star wars film…!)
second time – mastered it. stoked. i’m gonna have make a couple more now… and i’m gonna make one out of the NERD ticket i have (:
they’re pretty incredible – those instructions – a couple steps are a bit dificult.. but *meh* once you wou work it out – it’s not that difficult!!! try it!!!!!!!
AHHAHH
THATZ THE OLD TICKET!
