ahhh…photo realism at its greatest! I am currently finishing one of my contemporary art classes and i cant believe his name didnt come up! I love how Thomas adds just enough detail to the hair of all the individuals he paints…as black people our hair helps to define who we are…i love it…but thats just one of the many things i find captivating about this guys work…

An acquaintance of mine just invited me to accompany him to view Mr. Thomas’s upcoming show exhibition @ the Jack Shainman Gallery…how cool is dat :?: unable to attend but, I am in Awe…Indeed :!:

His work exuberates a SILENT FORCE that is omnisciently heard throughout his audience…this piece is mute yet speaks compelling volumes…the visual language displayed here is culturally haunting and linguistically LOUD and powerful

Hank Thomas ingeniously shines a light via black history and the iconic beauty anchored behind it’s illustrations

    NOTHING LESS THAN MAGNIFICENT…Wow!
