that would be really good to check out! the evolution of NYC over 20 yrs!
If this photo reflects Sue Kwon’s style accurately, she’s a beast – in a good way. Never heard of her but looks like my kind of photography. I’m a sucker for black and whites anyway. And I <3 NYC.
Moving photo on the cover, her work is definately amazing… I wonder what happened to that poor kids eye ): I wonder if he’s still alive and if he gets royalties… (Of course not – and this makes me sad. People living glamorous lives where champagne flows while essentially living of others’ misfortune…)
I’m being depressing, aren’t I? But at least I’m thinking about it.
Hey Babydoll what planet do you live on? You wonder if he is alive or getting royalties? Are you nuts? Its a documentary photograph of a kid in Harlem. Why cause he’s Black? He’s fine. He lives in Harlem and has an eye patch big deal. This a not an ad or an issue of National Geographic? Its not Rawanda or Darfur? If you cared about little children and the world do more then leave dumb comments on the bbc blog and make a difference in the world.
