I LOOOOOOooooooove Vanessa Marquez..5 years ago I asked her if I could choreograph her first video OVER MYSPACE LOL! She said “yes” but never saw me dance, never met me, and to my knowledge, didn’t have a video. “Want you to Know” and “Good Girl” were my sh!ts. She can’t be replaced in my eyes.

Natasha Ramos has that sound too, “Midnight Hour” is beeeeautiful. She needs to blow up and she will God-willing.

I take it back. If Rhea were whack, I’d miss maybe a few shows then I’d come back to see them while silently staring with big eyes and pursed lips. Love them too much I guess.

@thaflyest, I follow what you write on forums and you’re always pretty on point so I guess that’s IT. Done and Done. Rhea CAN sing since that’s what you say. Where did you hear? Are you overseas? Does she perform in the U.S. ever?

I wrote that for reaction and thank GOD you heard me. Sometimes, it feels like I write to “air” on here..just hearing <> chirping*.

I DID NOT know that N.E.R.D was tone def and the anti-singer? LOL! That’s hilarious! I love the sound because it’s authentic and not forced and CORNY. They are not trying to SAAAANNNNG like BOyz 2 Men with runs and cry faces. They are like, Rock Stars, like the song, ya know? No matching outfits, no wardrobe changes just REAL. I couldn’t take it if they were anything BUT.

Could you imagine Shay and Pharrell doing choreographed dance steps? I’d immediately walk out to the parking lot and bounce.

If N*E*R*D became a choir, I’d be trying to audition…warming it up while I wait with Do-Re-Mi’s.. LOL!

Yeah @thaflyest I don’t think they’re “poppy” like Vanessa or Tasha (doesn’t she have a new name?) or R&Bish either.

personally i’ve already heard her sing..she can sing(she sounds similar to vanessa marques and tasha)…IMO that oddly conflicts with NERD to me(a group made up of one guy who doesn’t like to sing, another guy who use to call himself tone def..and a lead singer who use to say he couldn’t stand his own voice lol)

I dunno as i’ve said on other forums..I just gotta see with this one, i’ll miss saying “i’m going to see my BOYS live” lol….but if the music is crazy good…i couldn’t give a rat’s behind if NERD was a trio or a choir lol.

I do trust N.E.R.D’s instincts, so I bet she IS dope, but you’re right – music is SOOOOO personal, especially when it comes to your favorite band! I’m sure Chad wouldn’t let any whackness go on up there, and in his absence, (which is frequent) Pharrell is going to DEF have good taste, in his presence AND solo for that matter.. I agree with what you wrote: I didn’t like the Fergiliciousness of Black Eyed Peas either as I was loyal to Kim Hill and still listen to her more than I do BEP’s poppy trash now b/c of that. That’s just the kind of person I am. I’m usually TOO open to change, ya know?? I just don’t know. What I DO KNOW is that I’ve gotta see Rhea live to feel her out before I make any real comments/judgments/opinions – she might be dope (prob is) but if I get turned off, which I easily do…that’ll be a sad day people. I’ll probably cry, tell someone how I feel, and never come to another show again. I might spit on the ground like my Nigerian dad does when he’s disgusted. It’s just that deep to me. Wish I could say I was a ride or die chick to the end but each is entitled to their own opinion, and I’m sure N.E.R.D wouldn’t be hurt if they lost one of millions of loyal fans. Thought I was the biggest until I felt hurt like you. And I am a peace and love, embracing individual! It’ll be interesting to see if she’s talented or just plain annoying..if she adds to the group or subtracts. A compliment, a substitute or a gaudy piece of costume jewelry that we never really NEED to go with our outfit. Ketchup to the fries, sprinkles to the ice-cream or sweet-tart pizza dipped in a bucket of oil and water. Freedom of speech.
Her style is super cute although she’s no Kelis. I really liked her red millitary get-up with the fish-tail hair.

Could she be the 4th member, or could she be back-up with KILLER legs? Maybe she’s the new back-up/hype girl who can carry a tune? Maybe she’s the next Rihanna or Beyonce..or Amy Winehouse. Maybe she’s just representing another culture other than black and asian for marketing purposes or to reach a larger male skewing demographic. Doubt it, because the band is known for it’s authenticity, but I’m just throwing out the possibilities for cyberspace to ponder while trying to be annoying at the same time.

The younger Kelis was the best fit in my opinion. Or any super-ecclectic girl who knows her place in the band and doesn’t try to jump in the spotlight to jump start a solo career. Just speculation. People prob think I’m hating. I’m really not. I could seriously almost care, just like you, @thaflyest. But…. Dear Rhea. Please come forth and introduce yourself. You better be a BAAAAAAD B!TCH if you need NO introduction. We LOVE your ripped up clothes and ripped up legs and funky asymetrical bangs and The fans wanna know who you are and what’s your purpose. Hope to wanna hug you someday. <3
