All Gone 2009

Michael should start putting the book itself in here since it sells out just as fast as any of the items in here.

100 Years of Failure

Gizmodo.com has this interesting story about “10 technologies we were promised but never got” in the past 100 years.  Some of these things are plain crazy and when you weigh in all the things that weren’t promised but that we do have now, we can’t be mad, especially when some places still don’t have running water or electricity!  Click here for the rest of the story.

Cities Under Domes:  The architect and all-around visionary R. Buckminster Fuller believed that one day, cities in cold-weather regions could be encased under temperature-controlled geodesic domes.  Fuller argued back in the ’60s that such a dome over New York City would pay for itself in 10 years, as there would be no more need for snow removal. In addition to temperature control, the domes were also supposed to contain germ filters that would have prevented us from getting sick too.

Rome at Night

Here is a great series of photos from Rome.  It can be difficult taking pictures of places frequented by large numbers of tourists but these shots prove that all you need is darkness and some rain to make these beautiful locations feel like they are all yours.  Photos by Vince Cianci.

Only In Japan

Here is the last “Only In Japan” of the decade: Biggest Air Cannon Experiment!  We do like the old school James Bond type music in the back ground.

Thanks T K!

Hijos De Villa Pistol Reposado Tequila

Good luck getting this back on a flight!  Between the shape and the liquid you’ll never make it, stick to Patron!  Also, the West was not won with a .45, maybe a Colt but not that one.

Turbospoke

This device apparently turns pushbikes into motorbikes.  Too bad it’s such a crappy ad but the Turbospoke does have our friends Dee & Ricky’s name written all over it.

Piaggio Aero P. 180 Avanti II

Piaggio Aero P. 180 Avanti II can sit up to 9 people.  This twin turboprop airplane is much cheaper than jets like the Gulfstream and is also alot more fuel efficient while still offering the comfort of flying private.

Brodmann Blades

Do you guys play ping pong or table tennis as it’s called in certain places?  Have you tried these Brodmann Blades?  You wear them like a glove and they are meant to give you a better feeling for the game also allowing more control and spin.  Is ping pong going to be the new pool of the upcoming decade?
