Pattya Thailand
“This is a temple in Pattya Thailand, entirely hand carved. Started in 1981 and supposed to be finished by 2012.” Thanks to Justin who is serving in the US Navy for sending these pictures for the blog. Hit up the jump to see more pictures and read more about Justin, he has an interesting perspective in regards to being young and serving in the Navy.
“I’m 21 years old and I’m from hampton, VA. My time in the military has takin’ me to a lot of cool places, such as Tokyo, Hong Kong, Singapore, Austrailia and Okinawa. I’m using the military as a stepping stone to get one step closer to my dreams, which are becoming a music producer, cartoonist, and photographer. Being in the military is tough for me because I don’t like
being away from my family. I got two sons I love more than anything. But the military in general has its ups and downs and I’m proud to serve my country but like a said it’s a stepping stone. So it’s not my career because I know there’s more out there but you have to go about things smartly. Another benefit is meeting a lot of people from different backgrounds. Seeing different cultures it allows you to see everyone elses perspective on us(United States). Which is really cool. Another cool thing is we help out other countries in need. Like this fall, we went to Taiwan to help out. We because of a earthquake/Land slide that hit the country. Just to be able to see people smile even in a time like that means a lot to me because even the small things we do can go a long way. We provided goods like water, food and medical attention. I’ve made a lot of friends on the pacific side and I hope to meet the neptunes one day.
This blog and the music from the artists helps me get through the tough times and remind me that even though its hard its not over. Sorry I wrote so much, I talk a lot. lol
Tell pharrell I said what’s up and I know he gets this a lot but if he can listen to my music for me that’ll be cool.
This has truly been a blessing, thank you for everything BCC ice cream staff.”
